At Texas Excel Gymnastics Academy, your child’s safety and development are our top priorities.
We are proud to be a member club of USA Gymnastics, the national governing body for the sport of gymnastics in the United States.
All of our coaches maintain active professional memberships and complete required training, including SafeSport certification through the U.S. Center for SafeSport. Our staff also undergo background screening and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.
We follow industry best practices to create a safe, positive, and supportive environment where every athlete can excel with confidence.
Kristi Bluett Morton
Coach Kristi
Kristi Bluett Morton began gymnastics at age 5 and started competing at age 8. Prior to Kristi’s college career she was the Georgia state All Around champion 3 times, a member of the USAG Region 8 team and a National Qualifier multiple times.
At the collegiate level Kristi competed for the University of Florida in 1993 before transferring and finishing her career as a Gymdog at the University of Georgia. The Gymdogs won the SEC Team Championship in 1994 and 1996 and finished in the top 5 nationally in each of those 3 years.
Kristi has a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and has coached classes and competitive teams since 1997. She believes strongly in the importance of developing her students as athletes and beyond as well-rounded individuals. In 2022 Kristi established her own gymnastics center in Louisiana which enjoyed great success in terms of enrollment and in competition. Upon relocating to Texas Kristi seeks to continue her passion of training young athletes in her new hometown of Georgetown.
Safety and professionalism are of the utmost importance. Kristi maintains an active Competitive Coach Membership with USA Gymnastics (USAG) and maintains all required safety training, certification courses and background screening.
